Suspect wanted for the robbery of two local businesses on Detroit's east side

Detroit Police is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating an unknown male suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery incident of two local businesses on the city's east side.

On December 25 around 10:25am., The Family Dollar in the 14300 block of Harper an unknown male suspect entered the location, approached the counter and demanded cash from the cashier. While demanding money the suspect kept his hands in his pocket as though he was armed. After not receiving the money, the suspect left the location. No injuries were reported.

Then at approximately 10:35 a.m., the same suspect entered Harper Food Center in the 13900 block of Harper. Once inside, the suspect approached the counter with a drink.  As his item was being rung up, he demanded money from the cashier, while his hands were in his pockets.

 The cashier complied and the suspect was given undisclosed amount money, from the cash register. After taking the money, the suspect fled the location on foot. No injuries were reported from both locations.

The suspect is described as a black male, middle age, 6'1", medium brown complexion, medium build, thin goatee and mustache and wearing all black.
