Authorities are investigating a sexual assault that happened earlier this month on Detroit's west side. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

The 18-year-old woman had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend at the corner of Hubbell Avenue and Plymouth Road. A couple people stopped to help break up the fight, including the suspect.

Another Good Samaritan told the woman that the man would drive her home and vouched for him, saying he was a member of her church and that he's a good man and visits her home.

The 18-year-old got into the man's 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. Instead of taking her home, though, he drove her to a gas station and then to an abandoned home about a mile away on Foley Street. That's where authorities say she was sexually assaulted.

The suspect is in his late 30s or early 40s, is about 6 feet tall and weighs around 180 pounds. He has a medium brown complexion with dark brown eyes and dark brown lips. He was clean shaven and has a bald head and is missing a front tooth.

The alleged assault happened on Sunday, July 10, 2016.
