The Lodge to close for the weekend between I-75 and Jefferson
DETROIT (WJBK) - As you're preparing for your weekend travels, Detroit drivers may want to take a look at these detours.
Both northbound and southbound M-10, aka The Lodge Freeway, will be closed this weekend between I-75 and Jefferson Avenue, according to MDOT.
The road closes down at 9 p.m. Friday and will be reopened 5 a.m. Monday.
MDOT will be demolishing the pedestrian bridge over M-10 near M-85.
The following ramps will be closed:
- Southbound and northbound I-75 ramps to southbound M-10 ramps
- Northbound M-10 ramp to northbound I-75
- Northbound M-10 ramp to southbound I-75 (scheduled to reopen by late August)
- Northbound I-75 ramp to northbound M-10 (scheduled to reopen in the fall)
MDOT has provided a few ways to get around the closures.
In terms of M-10 traffic, drivers heading northbound will be detoured via Jefferson Avenue, northbound Rosa Parks Boulevard, northbound I-75, and westbound M-8 to northbound M-10.
Drivers heading southbound on M-10 will be detoured to northbound I-75, then southbound I-375 to Jefferson Avenue.
As for M-10 and I-75 ramps, drivers heading northbound on I-75 en route to northbound M-10 will be detoured to westbound M-8 to northbound M-10.
Drivers heading southbound on I-75 heading for southbound M-10 will be detoured to southbound I-375 to Jefferson Avenue.
Drivers going northbound on M-10 heading for southbound I-75 will be detoured to westbound I-94, then westbound I-96 to northbound/southbound I-75.
