Trooper injured on I-75 by suspected drunken driver
(WJBK) - An area of Interstate 75 was closed Friday morning after a state trooper was injured in a car accident.
The trooper was helping block traffic for construction crews around 3 a.m. on northbound I-75 near Joslyn Road when her patrol car was hit by a suspected drunken driver.
We're told her emergency lights were activated at the time of the crash.
The trooper was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay. We're told she suffered a broken wrist in the accident.
The suspected drunken driver has been taken into custody.
The trooper has been identified as Jacalyn Raab, and is a 29-year veteran of the Metro North Post.
