Troy police arrest man for child porn, searching for witnesses

Police in Troy have arrested a 37-year-old man on multiple charges of child pornography.

Brandon Donnellon was arrested after a lengthy investigation. According to police, they executed a search warrant on his home in July 2016 after receiving information that he was in possession of child pornography. Police seized his digital devices.

In his mugshot photo, he appears to have been crying after being arraigned on several charges of child pornographry.

"Explicit images of children. Children pornography is not just naked pictures. Explicit for sexual gratification. Pretty much disgusting type of stuff," Troy Police Department Sgt. Megan Lehman said.

Between July 2016 and March 2017, police kept an eye on him while they analyzed the digital pornography.

On Tuesday, they made their move. and arrested him on charges of child pornography and using a computer to commit a crime. On Thursday, police announced the charges were issued by the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office.

Right now, Troy Police are looking for any potential victims to come forward.

"These types of cases, this could have been going on for a long time. We don't have any indication that he assaulted any children or manufactured pornography, but it could have happened. So we went to put this information out to the public to see if anyone knows anything or to see if there are possible victims out there," Sgt. Lehman said.

Donnellon is being held on a $3 million bond and is being held in the Oakland County Jail.

Troy Police say they're still searching for additional information including possible victims. They ask anyone who may know anything to contact the detective in charge at 248-524-3449.
