Wanted felon leads Ferndale police on high-speed chase

FERNDALE, Mich. (WJBK) - Ferndale police are searching for a wanted felon who lead them on a high speed chase Thursday morning.

Officers were conducting surveillance at a hotel around 2:30 a.m. on a man wanted on a felony assault warrant.

They say the suspect took off after he spotted police outside.

Officers eventually called off the chase for safety reasons and the suspect managed to get away in a white Acura.

They are not releasing the suspect's name at this time because they think they know where he is.
