The Michigan State Police announced on Friday that a 69-year-old man has been charged in the death of a Michigan State Trooper after hitting him with his car in August.

Raymond Warren, Jr. was arraigned on Friday in Oakland County for reckless driving causing death and failure to stop at the scene of an accident that resulted in death.

Wolf was on patrol on his MSP BMW motorcycle on I-75 on August 28th. Around 6:30 a.m., a truck towing a trailer merged into traffic and knocked Wolf off his bike.

Wolf then became trapped beneath the trailer. The truck driver continued driving and dragged the trooper for about three miles before pulling into the I-75 rest stop just north of Springfield Township.

The 38-year-old father of four was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The driver told investigators he never knew he hit Wolf.  He cooperated with investigators and was later allowed to leave the scene.

If convicted, Warren faces up to 15 years in prison for each charge.
