A 37-year-old Waterford man was charged after sending child pornography to an undercover agent on the mobile messaging service KIK, officials say.

According to a criminal complaint in U.S. district court, on May 21, an undercover FBI employee began communicating with "mikenlaura1010" on KIK Messenger, an instant messaging app for cell phones. They began discussing sexually abusing the agent's purported minor daughter and exchanging child porn.

On June 4, officials say "mikenlaura1010" sent a message to the agent that read: "Alot of people dont realise kids are sexual." The user also sent a picture of three nude females and one nude male, who appeared to be between the ages of 8 and 10 years old.

The document states "mikenlaura1010" asked graphic sexual questions about the agent's purported daughter, writing: "I wana see your sex kitten nude but im not asking for that lol."

On June 6, the complaint states "mikenlaura1010" sent a video of what appeared to be a 14-year-old girl performing a sexual act, and asked the agent if he or she liked it. When the agent did not respond immediately, the user wrote: "Dont leave me hanging lol its scary sending that."

According to court documents, police then issued a subpoena and KIK provided account information for "mikenlaura1010," including an IP address that led police to Cloverton Drive in Waterford, Mich. It was found to be the home of 37-year-old Michael Furlong.

Authorities discovered Furlong on the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry, registered in 2009 for pornography involving a minor, convicted in Illinois, the complaint states.

Officials say during a search of his home, Furlong admitted that he was user "mikenlaura1010" and that he exchanged child porn with the undercover agent.

Furlong was arrested, charged with possession of child pornography and receipt and distribution of child pornography.
