A Wayne County woman is a million dollar winner after scratching off a lucky ticket in Taylor last week.

The woman, who is remaining anonymous, bought her winning million dollar ticket at the Marathon gas station on Telegraph in Taylor. She told the Michigan Lottery she didn't think she had won anything on her Lucky 7's Multiplier game.

"When I scratched the ticket off, my first thought was: 'OK, what did I do wrong?'" said the player. "I skipped work that morning and waited for the Lottery office to open so I could call and see what was going on. Once I talked to the Lottery and confirmed the ticket was worth $1 million, I was stunned."

She said Monday when she claimed her prize that it still seems surreal.

She won't be taking the $1 million pot, she's accepting a one-time lump sum of $634,000. She said she'll head to a cruise in Alaska, make some home repairs, and then invest what's left.

The lottery says players have won almost $32 milliong since the game was launched in January. The $10 tickets offer prizes from $10 to $1 million. There are still two other $1 million prizes left in the Lucky 7's game and another $33 million overall.
