WB I-96 reopens in Livonia after police situation

LIVONIA, Mich. (FOX 2) - Westbound I-96 is now open after a police situation closed the freeway near Farmington Road on Thursday morning.

UPDATE: Police grappler stops stolen car on I-96 in Livonia

The closure was reported just after 7:40 a.m., and the road reopened just before 8:25 a.m.

It is unclear why police are at the scene, but numerous patrol vehicles were blocking the freeway as of 8:10 a.m.
