Weekend road closures and detours are coming

(WJBK) - It's been a topic of conversation for months in our area - roads, potholes, closures and repairs.

And this weekend several more closures will cause a major headache for drivers.

Westbound I-696, already closed through November in Macomb County will have added closures from Dequindre to Telegraph this weekend.

On the eastside, I-94 in both directions will be closed from Conner to I-75 until Monday morning. Drivers have been using this route has a detour to go around the closure of I-696 but this weekend, you'll have to find a different way.

I-696 WB CLOSED, Dequindre to US-24 and all ramps
I-94 EB/WB CLOSED, Conner to I-75 and all ramps

I-696:

Oakland - WB I-696 CLOSED, Dequindre to US-24/Tele & all ramps, Fri 9pm-Mon 5am (ramp closures will begin about 8 pm. Detour 8 Mile) (Reminder: WB I-696 in Macomb County closed till Nov.)
ALL WB 696 ON AND OFF RAMPS ALSO CLOSED: (WB entry at US-24 Couzens/Dequindre/I-75/Campbell Hilton/Woodward/Coolidge/Greenfield/Southfield/Evergreen

I-94:

Wayne - EB/WB I-94 CLOSED, Conner to I-75 & all ramps. WB closing Fri 8:30 pm, EB closing 9 pm, both reopen Mon 5am. (ramp closures will begin earlier. Detour 75 and 8 Mile)
ALL EB/WB 94 ON/OFF RAMPS CLOSED, including:
EB 96 to EB 94/NB&SB M10 to EB 94/NB&SB 75 to EB 94, all 9 Mile ramps to Chalmers to WB 94)

I-75:

Oakland - NB I-75 at 9 Mile Road: The right lane is closed from Fri. 9 PM to Mon. 5 AM.
Oakland - 9 Mile ramp to NB I-75, ramp closed, Fri 9pm-Mon 5am.
Wayne - NB/SB I-75 ramps to EB I-94, ramps closed, Fri 9pm-Mon 5am.
Wayne - NB I-75 from Sibley to Northline, 1 lane open, 2 closed, Fri 9pm-Mon 5am.
Monday - NB I-75 ramp to NB US-24 connector, ramp closing Mon 9am-7/3/18.
