Woman critically hurt in attempted murder-suicide in Southfield

A woman was critically injured in a domestic shooting Wednesday night at an apartment complex in Southfield. Police say the shooting was an attempted murder-suicide. 

Police say the 44-year-old man shot the 37-year-old woman one time, and then shot himself. 

Both were taken to the hospital, where the man was pronounced dead and the woman is in critical condition. 

Police say the two were married but separated, but still seeing each other. 

The shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the 16500 block of North Park Drive, which is near Nine Mile and the M-10 Service Drive.
