Woman found in car in Lake St. Clair was to be sentenced for drug possession

The woman whose body was found in her car in Lake St. Clair was due to be sentenced on a drug conviction later this month.

After disappearing on March 3, Acadia Cadotte was pulled from the lake near 9 Mile and Jefferson on Wednesday.

New information reveals that last month she pleaded guilty to possession of heroin, cocaine and designer drugs. She was recently released from jail and put on a tether.

Macomb County investigators are waiting for toxicology results to try to determine what caused her to drive into the lake. Her death was originally ruled accidental, due to the snowy conditions on the roads that day.

Cadotte's funeral is set for Tuesday.
