Woodward Dream Cruise weekend info

Thousands of classic cars putter down Woodward while 1.5 million onlookers peruse the automobiles, with the tradition stretching back to 1995.

With numbers this big, it can only mean one thing: The Woodward Dream Cruise is here.

What's known as the world's largest one-day automotive event, this vehicle pageant paves the way with nostalgia. When a group of volunteers wanted to envision Detroit's heyday of the 1950s and 60s, they didn't imagine it would be this big.

Having drawn a number of people completely unexpected in it's inception the first year it rolled out, cars now come from as far as Oceania, Asia, and everywhere else.

It will run through nine host communities including Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge, Pontiac and Royal Oak.

The mechanical marvels that will stroll down the road this Saturday are a sight to be seen. Don't miss out on everybody's favorite annual traffic jam running between 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
