Pistons' Void Motiejunas/Thornton for Anthony Deal

The Detroit Pistons' announced Monday they have "rescinded" a deal that would've sent Joel Anthony and protected first round pick to the Houston Rockets for Donatas Montiejunas  & Joel Thornton.

Montiejunas played all of December for the Rockets (14 games), but has had back issues including herniated disk surgery last March and has not played in the NBA since the start of 2016.  He has been playing in the NBADL and was reportedly close to returning to the Rockets, but the Pistons' would not pass him during a physical and thus the trade has been voided.

Here is the press release from the Pistons:

The NBA's trade deadline was last Thursday and no other trades can be made.  Center Joel Anthony, 33, and the protected first-round pick go back to the Pistons as the Pistons' hope to end a five-game losing streak Monday in Cleveland.
