SportsWorks: Dan Miller, Pat Caputo, John Niyo, Chris Creighton & Jeremy Hickey

FOX 2's Sports Director Dan Miller was joined by Pat Caputo & John Niyo on the roundtable as they talked about the Lions starting their season Monday night against the Jets.  Pat and John said what needs to happen for the guys in Honolulu Blue to come away victorious.  They also talked how things have to be different from preseason.

The roundtable moved on to Eastern Michigan's huge win at Purdue.  How Purdue isn't a bad team and this is a great win for the Eagles, plus how important it is for Eastern Michigan to start the season like this.  The crew then broke down Michigan State's loss at Arizona State Saturday night and how they let it get away.  They pointed out that MSU doesn't have a lot of depth and their injuries are hurting them.  They also talked how the Spartans kept Arizona State in it and it was a trap game that they fell right into.  Michigan was next on the rundown and their win against Western Michigan and what you can take from it.

Eastern Michigan Head Coach Chris Creighton & senior offensive lineman Jeremy Hickey from Brother Rice joined the roundtable to talk about their big win at Purdue Saturday.  They talked how their seniors led the team and executed down the stretch.  They also brought up how they took advantage of mistakes and made a big 4th and 15 conversion that helped win them the game.

The panel then talked Tigers and how they are still playing hard.  The guys also gave a quick preview of Red Wings training camp.
