The Mike Morse Law Firm held its 12th annual Project Backpack, which has provided over 300,000 local students with school supplies since its inception in 2013. The firm’s Project Backpack initiative is dedicated to helping kids start the school year off right by giving them backpacks stuffed with essential items including pencils, crayons, scissors, pencil pouches and sharpeners, and pocket folders.
Car stolen from St Clair Shores church during mass
Two people stole a car from outside St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores during Saturday's 4 p.m. mass. The parishioner later admitted that the keys were left in the car-- unlocked. The stolen car is a burgundy Ford Edge.

According to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, the first alleged assault happened on July 23, 2021. Authorities said that on that day, Furman joined a pursuit that ended in Dearborn.
