Let It Rip Weekend: Are the efforts in place to slow the spread of COVID-19 enough?
The number of cases of coronavirus continues to increase in Michigan and the U.S. and across the globe. President Trump has declared a national emergency in order to provide millions in aid. The governor has canceled classes until April and is limiting events to under 250 people. In Detroit, Mayor Mike Duggan is asking hospitals to set up drive-up testing centers in the city. Meantime, Democrats in Lansing are trying to make wage loss part of health benefits and to create a fund to help those losing wages due to the outbreak. Still, is this all enough to stop the spread and the economic fallout?
