Air quality issues Sunday and becoming slightly warmer.
FOX 2 - An air quality advisory remains amid a cool start to the weekend.
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) has issued an air quality advisory across the state of Michigan.
Canadian wildfire smoke will re-enter Michigan, statewide, Saturday afternoon and persist throuh at least Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, a high pressure system sitting in the Midwest will continue to funnel wildfire smoke into the state and cause little to no dispersion due to stagnant conditions.
Pollutants across the state are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG, Orange AQI) range with some locations reaching the Unhealthy (Red AQI) range. Anyone with respiratory or breathing issues is advised to avoid strenuous outdoor activities and try to stay indoors.
Sunday starts with a little haze that continues through lunchtime. Sunday's high should be around the mid 80s.
Temperatures look to climb back to above seasonal to start the following week.
