Slight risk for severe weather this Tuesday evening

We got a taste of fall over the weekend, but things are heating up again Tuesday. A cool front is out to our west right now, bringing in the cooler air on Wednesday, but first we've got some rains and possible severe weather to get through today.

The risk for severe weather won't kick in until about 6 or 7 p.m. All of southeast Michigan has a slight chance for severe weather at that point. As that cold front approaches, that dynamic will be in play and we could see some gusty winds and storms.

Before that, though, we're keeping an eye on some less severe storms that could roll in later this morning. We can't rule out a storm popping in this afternoon either, though the whole day won't be a total washout. Don't plan on rain from the start to the finish.

It will, however, feel very muggy today from start to finish. Temperatures will peak in the mid 70s but that cool front will bring back the 60s later throughout the week.
