Healthy Halloween dinner ideas for your little trick-or-treaters
(WJBK) - The last thing you want for your trick-or-treater is to hit the streets on an empty stomach with a giant pillowcase for candy to satiate them. With a little planning, you can avoid these results, and put something healthy in their little bellies.

- Try healthy proteins to keep them fuller longer, so that they're fueled all night for their trick-or-treating adventures.
- Opt for vegetables with vitamins that pack cleaner energy-boosters than grease-laden alternatives. These quick and easy recipes are sure to please your trick-or-treaters.
- Snack-o-Lantern Fruit Cups
Slice top off the navel orange. Run a knife around its interior to hollow it out. Scoop out the orange segments and reserve for filling. Carve pumpkin face on one side of the orange. Repeat for other oranges. Use a paper towel to gently soak up any remaining juice inside the oranges. Dice up desired fruit, including the reserved orange segments and fill each cup. Cheese Witch's Brooms
For 12 brooms
Prep Time| 20 minutes

What do you need?
- 12 Slices of Cheese
- 12 Pretzel sticks
- 12 Fresh Chive
How do you do it?
1.- Fold each cheese slice and cut the fringes of the broom using a pair of scissors.
2.- Roll the slice of cheese around a snack stick having the fringes looking down.
3.- Finally to keep the cheese around the stick, use some chive and knot it around.
