Living the Life: Halloween psychology and recipes

Happy Halloween!

Some of us just love it, and others are just ready for it to be over. Psychotherapist Amy Ryberg joins us on this segment of Living the Life to talk about the psychology of Halloween.

She says for those of us who don't like being scared, they may have had a relative scare them when they were younger. Others may think on the religious aspect of the holiday, and believe by celebrating you're inviting evil spirits into your life.

She says, on the flip side, an adrenaline rush comes with being terrified that people enjoy. Others may enjoy taking on a different persona on the holiday when they dress up in costume.

If you'd like to get in touch with Amy, you can find her contact information here.

Chef Norman Velanti and Chef Nicholas Redlin from Plum Market also joined us on this Halloween episode, to give us a few festive dinner ideas. You can get their turkey quinoa meatball recipe below.
