Preparing for Emergencies with CERT Training

Keeping people safe during major emergencies takes a collaborative effort, and citizens need to do their part by staying informed, vigilant and trained.

Wayne County government will host Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trainings throughout next weekend to help build a culture of preparedness. Danielle Elzayat, chief of staff for the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management in Wayne County, previewed the training and discussed it importance during a visit Sunday morning to the Fox2 Studios.
