South Lyon team manager shines in rivalry game
SOUTH LYON, Mich. (FOX 2) - A South Lyon basketball player made his mark on high school history this week.
Collin Bellanger, the team's manager had open-heart surgery when he was a baby. He also has a condition that causes him to struggle with coordination. But even so, he still shined in his game this Monday.
Playing against rival school South Lyon East, his coach said he made a key play during the game Monday night. His coach said he's an enthusiastic and energetic part of the team. His parents were overjoyed with his opportunity.
But it's best summed up from the man himself: "What it felt like for me was just amazing. I've never experienced anythin like this."
