Woodhaven Police Join Unity Tour to Honor Fallen Officers

Each year, police officers from all over the country ride bikes from New Jersey to Washington D.C. to honor the lives of fellow officers killed in the line of duty.

Woodhaven Police Sgt. Frank Zdankiewicz and a colleague from the department will join the effort this year, riding in honor of Taylor Police Officer Matthew Edwards, who was shot and killed by a burglar in 2010. He visited the Fox2 Studios Saturday morning to discuss the initiative and to preview a fundraiser tonight at the Woodhaven Community Center.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. event are still available.
