14-year-old fatally shot overnight in Pontiac house

PONTIAC, Mich. (WJBK) - Authorities are investigating after a teenager was fatally shot Monday morning in Pontiac. 

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office isn't releasing much information at this time, but says the death happened just before 3 a.m. on Willard Street, in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Auburn.

They haven't given the victim's name, but say the victim is between 14 years old. No one is in custody at this time. 

Authorities haven't given any more details at this time, and the family did not wish to speak with us. 

A family friend at the scene told us they heard the boy was playing with the gun and may have accidentally shot himself.
