2 dead in drive-by on Buena Vista Street on Detroit's west side

DETROIT (WJBK) - Two men were shot and killed in a drive-by on Detroit's west side Friday.

The incident happened in the 1600 block of Buena Vista near I-96 and Grand River this afternoon.

Police say the two victims were standing on the sidewalk when a black SUV pulled up next to them firing shots and killing them. The vehicle then fled east bound towards the highway, police believe.

The two men may have been out walking, investigators don't believe they are from the house where the shooting occurred.
