Body found in container on Detroit's west side

DETROIT (WJBK) - A body has been found in Detroit's Brightmoor neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Remains were discovered in a container inside a vacant house on Greydale Street near Outer Drive and Lyndon.

Police have not released any information about the victim and are unable to tell if it is a male or female. Investigators say it may take a couple hours up to a couple days to have identification of the body.

Police say that tips from the public led to the discovery. FOX 2's Hannah Saunders is on the scene and is gathering further details.

Police have been searching that area for missing chef and former Marine Doug Calhoun. He has been missing since May 31 and lived in the area.
