Body found rolled up in carpet on Detroit's west side

DETROIT (WJBK) - Police are investigating after a body was found wrapped in plastic and rolled into a carpet early Monday morning.

The body was found just after midnight in the 7,600 block of Fenkell Avenue, which is near Livernois Avenue and the John C Lodge Freeway.

It's not clear how long the person had been dead, or how he or she died.

The body has been sent to the Wayne County Medical Examiner.
