Canton bank robbery suspect in police standoff with hostages
CANTON, Mich. (WJBK) - WEB UPDATE (7:35): A Canton police standoff with a barricaded bank robbery suspect continues with one civilian hostage remaining inside.
Witnesses told police that the suspect inside is armed with one gun at Citizens Bank on Canton Center Drive. The man has been barricaded inside for about three hours.
At 6:30 p.m., two people inside of the bank were released, according to FOX 2's Hilary Golston. A press conference is expected shortly with more details.
Police were called to Citizens Bank on N. Canton Center Road near Ford Road around 3:45 p.m.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
Video from the scene shows multiple officers and vehicles around Citizens Bank, just north of Cherry Hill Road.
Canton police request that residents do not contact them unless in case of emergency while the standoff continues.
An employee first alerted the police from inside.
"I heard 'Let the hostages go, come out with your hands up,'" said a man who lives in a subdivision nearby.
Another resident who lives nearby recorded a portion of the standoff on his phone.
"Let the hostages out of the back we can resolve this," the officer could be overheard on a bullhorn.
Police are advising those who live or work in the area to avoid the scene for safety concerns.
