Carjacking suspects ram DPD cruiser before running off
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Detroit police searching for suspected car thieves who rammed a Detroit police vehicle early Thursday morning.
Officers spotted a stolen Chevy Impala near Cedar Grove and Gratiot. The suspects then allegedly rammed the cruiser, causing minor damage. The officers were not hurt.
One of the suspects jumped out of the stolen car and ran away. The other also drove off and then ran off after hitting the police vehicle.
Officers found the car abandoned a few blocks away, at Alcoy and Pargrove.
They're still searching for both suspects. Police don't have a description to give out at this time.
