Celebrities come together to support Flint

Jussie Smolett was one of many stars who took the stage Sunday to sing at a show organized to benefit the people of Flint. But it didn't stop there, Stevie Wonder even took the stage to sing for the people of Flint.

The event was organized by a number of actors and activist, including Jessie Williams.

"We're here to raise awareness, but also give the community a voice," Williams told FOX 2's Josh Landon backstage, "We have a lot of outsiders, including myself, talking about Flint. We'd like to pass the microphone to the people in Flint of all ages and backgrounds, to let them articulate their experiences, but also give them some relief."

Williams said the event was meant to give Flint residents a way to relax and be entertained.

Flint mayor Karen Weaver and Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha were also in attendance.
