Detroit Zoo closed Tuesday due to bitter cold
ROYAL OAK, Mich. (FOX 2) - Don't plan to spend your day off school at the Detroit Zoo. It's closed Tuesday due to the same bitter cold that led to hundreds of school closures across Southeast Michigan.
The Belle Isle Nature Center, which is also run by the Detroit Zoological Society, will also be closed. Animal care team members and other essential staff will remain at both locations during the closure.
