Cobo Joe's is a gem in Detroit that holds so many memories for so many people, but the restaurant took a hit when the Red Wings left Joe Louis Arena.

Under new ownership and with a few tweaks, they are hoping new memories will be made.

"It's challenging, when our backs are against the wall we have to do our best," said new owner Delroy Thomas. "So our mindset is put our heads together and try to regroup."

A new menu and live music is a big part of the draw, all while staying true to what Cobo Joe's used to be for so many.

"Motown is a big part of Detroit's history," Thomas said. "We're going to be one of the only Motown bars in the city of Detroit."

And with its proximity to Cobo Center, Cobo Joe's taking advantage of the foot traffic to the Auto Show.
