Enroll Detroit hosts school expo at Eastern Market

DETROIT (WJBK) - Sunday was an important day for many families in Detroit, as many parents signed up their children for schools.

Enroll Detroit, a free service that helps Detroit families with selecting a school, hosted the school expo on Sunday at Eastern Market.

The group is accepting applications for incoming kindergarten and 9th graders.

"I like the security part, because they won't let you in or let you out without somebody getting notified," said parent Kwantica May.

Today's expo featured representatives from more than 40 schools.
