Fatal crash overnight on I-75

(WJBK) - One person died in a crash that happened overnight on southbound Interstate-75, according to Michigan State Police. She was a 35-year-old woman from Ohio.
Lt. Michael Shaw with MSP says her car was broken down and she was outside the vehicle in the right shoulder, when a vehicle crashed into her and her car.
The driver of the vehicle that crashed into her was not seriously hurt and has been taken into custody. Police are not ruling out drugs or alcohol as a possible factor at this time. Two other people were taken to the hospital, though their conditions were not life threatening.
The crash happened near West Road. I-75 was closed for nearly six hours Thursday morning, and it opened back up just after 7 a.m.
Police have not yet given the victim's name as they are notifying family.
