Firefighters battle blaze at Dearborn steel plant

According to the Dearborn Police Department there are no injuries reported. Dearborn police say that the source of the fire is a conveyor belt.

It is not known if the plant area at the location of the fire is currently operational or not, according to the Dearborn Fire Department.

SkyFOX was over the scene, which is about 100 yards from Ford's Rouge truck plant.

A resident in Melvindale called at about 3:30 p.m. to report the sound of an explosion which she said could be heard from the plant.
