It is award season in Hollywood, but can the rest of us use some tricks to look red carpet ready even if we have no place to go?

Dr. Anthony Yuen, a holistic plastic surgeon, has some cheap tricks to make you shine -- and they all include stuff you can find right in your own pantry.

Colder weather in the winter can lead to dry chapped lips. One sweet solution is a sugar scrub.

Combine 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Just rub a little on your lips and rinse off with a warm washcloth.

Want to look refreshed? Add potatoes and green tea to your beauty routine.

"Get rid of the cucumbers. Green tea is filled with antioxidants, which are anti-aging; it's got caffeine to tighten up that puffiness. And you use potatoes, a starch, will help to lighten those dark circles," he explains. Just slice a potato and dip it in the green tea.

Do you want your lips to be bigger without doing anything permanent? Try adding 1-2 drops of peppermint oil into your lip gloss. The peppermint helps to stimulate the circulation under the lips and creates a swelling effect.
