Downed power lines caused the complete closure of I-75 in Oakland County between 12 Mile and 14 Mile for a little more than an hour Tuesday.

Northbound I-75 was closed at 12 Mile due to the downed lines and Southbound I-75 was closed at 14 Mile as well from about 1:45 to roughly 2:45 Tuesday afternoon.

The power lines appeared to be across the windshield of at least one car.

Traffic was diverted off the highway and drivers were urged to find any other way but I-75 to get to where they're going.
