MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (FOX 2) - Macomb County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a pedestrian death Friday morning in Mt. Clemens.
What we know:
Deputies were called to the area of Gratiot Avenue and New Street just after 4 a.m. on a report of a person in the road. When they arrived, an off-duty Clinton Township police officer was rendering aid to the unidentified male.
Despite lifesaving measures, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
What we don't know:
It isn't clear what happened to the pedestrian.
As of 8:30 a.m., southbound Gratiot Avenue is closed at Market Street is closed for the investigation.
