Lincoln unveils new Continental to be made in Michigan
Lincoln pulled the cover off an old name on Tuesday, the second day at NAIAS, and unveiled the all new Continental.
The brand new Lincoln has a name everyone knows. The Continental was the star of the show during Lincoln's showcasing on Tuesday.
The offshoot of the Ford brand is seeing huge sales in the past two years and plans to capitalize on those gains.
"We grew Lincoln brand sales by 17% in 2015 and we delivered our second straight year of us sales growth," CEO Mark Fields said.
The all new Continental has what Lincoln calls 'quiet luxury'. What does that mean? It's got a signature grill and athletic styling, but it's the seat that's turning heads.
The perfect positioning seating was inspired by private jets and can be adjusted 30 different ways. Plus, they adjust to your body shape and weight.
But it's not just the Americas that Lincoln is focused on. This car is built for the Chinese market.
"Lincoln became the first brand to surpass 30,000 unit sales in its first ffull year of operations," Fields said it took Cadillac and Infinit 5 years to reach that same mark.
