Macomb County mother found guilty of killing, dismembering son

She had been animated when she took the stand Monday, saying how she wished she could have ID-ed her son's body to be with him one last time but, instead, was taken into police custody. Jurors took the case to deliberate later that afternoon.

Prosecutors have said Scrivo filed a missing person's report in January 2014, claiming her son had left his St. Clair Shores home and failed to return.

Bags containing his body parts were found a few days later in St. Clair County, northeast of Detroit. An electric saw was in one of the bags.

Prosecutors say she killed her 32-year-old son, Ramsay, cut up his body and scattered the bags of his remains.

She says an unidentified man entered their house and killed Ramsay.
