Man and his grandson injured in explosion cleaning a boat

DETROIT (WJBK) - A Detroit man and his grandson were injured in an explosion cleaning a boat Friday night.

The two victims were inside the boat using chemicals to clean it at the time of the explosion. The man and 10-year-old boy both suffered serious injuries.

The incident happened outside of a home on Broad Street near W. Boston Boulevard. Both were transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital suffering burns to their bodies.
