Man arrested in fatal ax attack

WAYNE, Mich. (WJBK) - Wayne police say they have a person in custody after a man was murdered with an ax inside his home in Wayne.

Neighbors say Chamberlain Street near Annapolis was blocked off for most of Saturday night while police investigated the death of a 58-year-old.

A couple lived in the home in the 4500 block of Chamberlain. We are told a relative from out of state was also visiting at the time of the death.

Crime tape remained stretched across the driveway several hours after police had cleared the scene.

Police are not saying much about the case at this time, only that a suspect is in custody connected to their investigation.

FOX 2 is told more information will be made available during the next couple of days.
