Man arrested, released after 7-year-old shot

Shooting suspect Terry Craft
DETROIT (WJBK) - Detroit Police say a man who they had in custody who they believed was connected to the shooting of a 7-year-old is not the suspect they're searching for.
Detroit Police told FOX 2 that a suspect in the shooting of the child was arrested Wednesday morning.
The boy was shot in the leg in the 3600 block of Fairview Street, which is near Mack Avenue and St. Jean Street, on the city's east side.
Police say the suspect, who was identified as Torrey Craft, had an argument with the boy's mother earlier in the evening and that he threatened to come back.
Police said he returned later that night with a gun. A family member attempted to intervene, and Craft tried to shoot him but hit the 7-year-old in the leg instead, police say.
Police say Craft then took off in a silver Trailblazer. Detroit Police had released his name and his photo late last night on social media.
At last check, the boy, who has not yet been identified, was listed in critical condition at Children's Hospital.
UPDATE: Fox 2's Erika Erickson reports Craft turned himself in to police just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday. We'll have the latest on this story tonight on FOX 2 News beginning at 5 p.m.
