CLINTON TWP., Mich. (FOX 2) - After several hours of searching, police in Clinton Township say they have a suspected gunman in custody.
The search began near Budd Park after reports came in around 9:30 Tuesday night.
People in the area were asked to stay in their homes while police searched near Romeo Plank, between Canal and Clinton River Road.
Police say a man got into a fight with his girlfriend and went to his house to get a rifle and ammunition.
He went to Budd Park last night and a witness said he fired a shot and struck his car. No one was hurt.
Police found the man passed out near the river around 3 a.m. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
