Man with stolen goods, .307 BAC arrested outside Bloomfield Twp. Rite-Aid

Police in Bloomfield Township have arrested a man who they say was intoxicated and stealing from a Rite Aid.

Police went to the Rite Aid at Woodward Avenue and E Square Lake Road to check on the situation around 8:45 p.m. They were told an intoxicated man was wandering in and out of the store throughout the night.

Officers found the suspect across the street at a gas station and identified him as 44-year-old Ryan Krych.

Police found $59 worth of merchandise in his pockets from Rite Aid. Items included a radio, fit tracker and batteries. Police determined Krych did not pay for these items.

Officers placed Krych under arrest, but took him to the hospital as his blood alcohol level was a .307.

Police say Krych has been arrested over 90 times in the past 20 years for different offenses that include disorderly conduct and other retail frauds.

He's currently being held on a $100,000 bond and is due in court later this month.
