Midnight Golf, September 28

Midnight golf isn't just about teaching high school seniors the love of the game, it provides participants with life skills that aims to make a positive impact.

The 30-week program is available for seniors or those turning 17 years-old by December 30.

Started in 2001, the program has expanded. With more than 1000 young people joining since, it has seen more than 800 students admitted to universities around the country.

The group meets twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Marygrove College.

While the life skills are taught by business, human service and education professionals, the actual golf is taught by PGA of America Professionals.

The application is now open to people looking to join for the 2015-2016 year.
