Miles-long police chase ends in Oakland Mall parking lot

TROY, Mich. (WJBK) - Detroit police have arrested a driver after a miles-long chase through metro Detroit Friday morning.

We're told the chase began near Eastern Market and traveled north on I-75 for several miles, until the driver exited towards Oakland Mall. The driver could then be seen on SkyFOX video weaving in and out of traffic. You can watch a replay of the chase in the video player above. 

Police were able to stop him in the Oakland Mall parking lot. He was seen on SkyFOX video being taken into custody.

It is unclear at this time why police were trying to pull over the black Chevy Avalanche. 

Oakland Mall is just off I-75, near 14 Mile and John R. roads.
