The Michigan Department of Transportation has reopened the ramps from northbound Southfield Freeway to I-96 to find a different route after an accident earlier in the day Monday.
Both ramps coming from the northbound side of I-96 or closed after a truck hit the overhead sign. The accident pulled the signs down onto the ramp, forcing the closure.

A contractor will be called in to remove the large truss which is currently blocking both directions on the ramp. The ramp was expected to be closed throughout the evening rush hour Monday.
At 5:00 p.m., the ramps were reopened to commuters
